Last night, it snowed unexpectedly. It was the first really snow for our neck of the woods. When we opened the door to look at the snow, it was amazing how beautiful, quiet and peaceful things were. Moments like this come rushing by our lives and sometimes we miss it because we’re too busy to just stay still in that moment to truly listen and look.
We didn’t expect the snow to stay but it did. It was like gift for out the kids, they had prayed for snow for months but it never came until tonight. They would get to play in the snow, if only for one time this winter. The weather casters say that tomorrow all this snow will be gone because of the warm air coming through and soon we will back to our usually rain but for this small moment, one small “season” the snow is here. Seasons change quickly, like so many things in life, learn to stop, look and listen. Take a moment to make a memory, like a picture in time.
