This week’s photo challenge was to take the reflections or images of the background or in some cases, the foreground and make them the centerpiece of attention.
In this picture, there are layers of light and reflections. Figures not only in the background but figures ever so slightly present in the reflections from the foreground. What can you see in the reflection on the glass?
Do you see a balloon?
Do you see that there are two balloons or are there three?
Do you see the dad, sitting in the chair?
Do you see the child in his lap?
Do you see the gentlemen standing with his hands in his pockets? Do you think he looks more like the image of a ghost than a reflection, like I do?
Do you see the television monitors reflecting into the window? Are there one or two?
When you step back and look at the reflection in the window of the green trees and the dark images in the middle of that reflection, what do you see? Do you see an angel, like I do?
Our minds are amazing things, we can see images when we try to focus on them or we can by-pass them as if they were never there. So, I will leave you with this question: When we focus on the obvious, how much do we miss in the little hidden pictures in life…the little bits of mystery and beauty that tells its own story?
