(A-Z April Blogging Challenge)
We made it! Today is the last day of the A-Z April Blogging Challenge!
Whether you liked what came out of it or not, it is a bitter-sweet ending for me. Sweet because I was able to open up my mind and see what I was capable of…some pieces more “liked” than others and then bitter towards the end because it got harder to keep up enthusiasm and steam to write. So, in tribute of the last day I wanted to see if I could come up with something different but per my usually flare, one word seemed to repeat itself in my mind. That word is “zero.”
Zero usually means to most people…literally nothing. You don’t have nor lack anything but to me zero isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Zero (to me) has two connotations to its meaning. One is zero is or means a neutral place or space. It’s a place of absolute balance. If you use a level or scale, you want to calibrate them at that zero place. It is neither a negative or positive place. If I think about that space or place, it’s more of a resting place.
The other connotation is a place or space of anticipation, like in a countdown. No matter what kind of countdown, most the time zero meant that place where you are about to experience something you’ve been waiting for, usually something that will exhilarate you with a rush of adrenaline or energy…planned or unplanned. Whether it’s the New Years Eve Countdown to the next year, the countdown in a car race or running race or even a bomb about to go off, you are awaiting something that depending what it is maybe good or bad but no matter what it is, will give you a short shot of adrenaline or energy in anticipation. For me, zero is a jumping off place into something new. It marks the beginning of something else.
Oh! Thought of one more really good reason “zero is my hero!” I think most people would love to see a ton of zeroes behind any other number when it comes to checks and money that they receive. Who wouldn’t be excited to get a $2,000,000.00 check?
With that lovely number, I am going to say “good-bye” to the A-Z April Blogging Challenge. It has been a great adventure. Thank you for helping write everyday and post on my blog…and to the void who stopped by, “liked”, commented and followed me during the month…thank you so much! You’re the best!
