This recipe is awesome! I made a batch the other day and used it all week-long for making mocha iced and hot drinks. Again, I made it with Stevia and it was just as delicious. The best things about the recipe is that it’s homemade and there is no high fructose corn syrup. My kids use it in their chocolate milk and they can’t tell the difference.
I found it on Pinterest. I hope you’ll try it and love it.
Homemade Chocolate Syrup
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (I used Ghirardelli)
1 cup water
dash of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
In a small saucepan, add sugar, cocoa, and salt. Whisk together gently. Add water. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool. Store in the refrigerator.
